York Eagles Juniors, York Vikings Men’s and Women’s teams have merged to form York Basketball National League.

Basketball in York and the surrounding areas has in the past had several teams, all with a very high standard of basketball being played. The chairmen of York Eagles – Dave Smith and the Chairmen of York Vikings Brian Prince identified the need to work together to form a national league club. The main objective was to provide the opportunity for basketball development from the junior players right through to national senior standard players.See below the recent press release announcing the merger.
